Course: Girl Culture 2020

Defining Girl Culture:

Sherrie Inness in Delinquents and Debutantes defines girl culture as: ”culture that girls themselves make–girl-centric zines, blogs, music, art–but also mass-marketed commodities (books, tv, magazines, dolls, toys, other items) that are manufactured by adults and sold to an audience of girl consumers, both for profit and to culturally indoctrinate them into the behavior that society expects.
